We welcome 2016, our new year.
Although we have just entered the year, 2016 has already been a year of changes for Moroni City:
- Becky Kendall, our recorder retired at the end of 2015 and we wish her the best in retirement (although we have recently had the opportunity to place her as the new commission chair for the planning and zoning commission).
- With the retirement of Becky, Carol Haskins our long serving Treasurer has been appointed the new Moroni City Recorder and we are excited for her.
- With the advancement of Carol Haskins, Joanne Christensen has recently joined as as our new City Treasurer and we warmly welcome her to the City Crew.
- Three (3) council positions changed at the end of 2015, and we would like to state our profound thanks to Jennifer Wood, Todd Cook and Orson Cook for their service. Moroni City is better for their service and involvement.
- New to the council for 2016 are Jed Demill, Josh Wilkey and Thayne “Fred” Atkinson. We are excited for their placement and for the new energy and excitement they bring.
2016 looks to be a great year for Moroni City and we are excited for the experiences and opportunities that will come.
