It is currently recommended that everyone over six months of age get immunized for seasonal flu; although young children, pregnant women, people over 65 years of age, and anyone with chronic health problems are especially encouraged to do so. Flu activity varies each year, often starting in the fall and peaking in February. Getting vaccinated is the first and most important step in protecting against this serious illness.
Flu vaccine is $25, and may be covered by your health insurance.
There has been a break in a large irrigation main over the weekend. The irrigation department anticipates having the problem fixed by 6:00 pm this evening for those of you who water on the Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule. Thanks for your patience!
The Moroni City Youth Council is working with other local youth councils and the Mt. Pleasant Library to collect school supplies for kids who need them. If you can pick up an extra item or two when you are out shopping, they would appreciate it. Donations can be dropped off locally at City Hall through August 31st.
Soccer teams have been assigned and are posted on Moroni City Recreation’s Facebook page. Players should hear from their coaches soon.
Moroni City offices will be closed on Monday, July 24th in observance of Pioneer Day.
We’ve heard from many of you who enjoyed the 4th of July Carnival with its bounce houses, races, and games last week. We’d like to thank Rocky Mountain Power for a generous donation made to Moroni City’s 4th of July celebration that made these activities possible. We appreciate their support of our community!
Just a belated wish to our citizens . . . hoping you had a wonderful 4th of July yesterday. Thanks to the Moroni Fire Department–how about those fireworks!!!!! You can see more pictures from the celebration around town on the city’s Facebook page.
If you’ve got any snapshots you’d like to share, please e-mail them to the office at email@example.com. By e-mailing them to this address, you give Moroni City permission to use any such media items on our social media sites.
